The essential photographic proposition

Post by mostakimvip10 » Sat Nov 12, 2022 4:31 am

Subject matter that seems to have something to do with today's world from fields with chickens to car traffic jams interiors or exteriors of public buildings or even two hanging paintings by Turner which made the aforementioned critic compare him to this particular painter after he assumed that she admires him . In short easily digestible comprehensible decorative and in a restrained way it's true impressive elements. With such a technically perfect result with such sizes with such superficial subject matter with such a decorative use of color and with such a competent projection system the prices of his works are probably not surprising . After all anything that costs million cannot but be entitled to our admiration.

The problem is when some try to derive a thrill from these e-commerce photo editing works. And I don't mean an emotional outburst. I am referring to the artistic photographic emotion. The one that evokes the work of a Walker Evans when one perceives and this is not the case with the first during the reproduction and transformation of one's own everyday life. She evokes some of the work of Gursky's classmate Thomas Struth when he photographs his portraits and buildings not so much his museums and not at all not at all his flowers. If intelligence sincerity and emotion coexisted then construction or accompanying reasoning would not count.

Just as they should not count in any major project. And the revelation that the image has undergone any alteration or intervention in any chemical or digital way would not interest us nor would it touch us. Unfortunately however the construction of the project and the reasoning that accompanies it are for many young photographers the primary goal. The pained peasant woman that Evans was photographing in front of the wooden fence was bursting with laughter and Evans is the one who forced her to become sullen that is maximum interference with the flow of things. But our excitement and our admiration did not diminish in the slightest. Possibly they also increased.
