Falcon4 Tips Finding Specific Targets
The look closer view in the forward looking infrared can be used to find specific targets. To use the look closer view, maneuver the jet to put the top of the speed tick marks on the area you wish to look at. This will line things up so the look closer view will look in the right place.
To make the look closer view work better, consider increasing the vehicle magnification in Falcon4 set up to the maximum setting. This will make the look closer view act like a zoom in camera. The disadvantage to this is that it will also increase the magnification of air targets and make air to air combat unrealistic.
Another way to find specific targets is by using the what you see is what you get forward looking infrared. This will only work in Falcon4 Allied Force. This is unnecessary in Falcon4 BMS as targets can be found by using a targeting pod. By setting specific parameters for the forward looking infrared and looking in the right place of the heads-up display, you can zoom in on a specific target.[see video 1]
